Carowinds Names New General Manager

Cedar Fair Entertainment Company (NYSE: FUN) is pleased to announce that Pat Jones has been named Vice President and General Manager of Carowinds.  Ms. Jones has more than 35 years of experience in the amusement park industry and most recently served as Vice President and General Manager at Kings Dominion, a sister park located just outside Richmond, Virginia.

Jones has held numerous leadership roles with the company including Retail & Games Manager at Kings Dominion and Vice President of Resale at both Kings Dominion and Carowinds.  She also held a Corporate Vice President role when the parks were previously owned and operated by Paramount.  Her tenure and breadth of experience have afforded her valuable skills and knowledge that will now be leveraged at Carowinds.

Jones replaces Brad Marcy who has been promoted to Corporate Director, Strategic Initiatives, a newly created role in the company.  Marcy will remain in Charlotte and join the growing Corporate Cedar Fair team located here.  In his new capacity, Brad will lead the implementation of business development projects and new product launches across Cedar Fair’s parks.  Examples include a new digital photo program, the development of youth sports facilities, and the integration of various entertainment technologies into attractions and events throughout the company.
