On Monday, August 21, nine local golf professionals will tee it up at Pine Lake Country Club to help raise money for The First Tee of Greater Charlotte’s Life Skills Experience programs. Golf professionals representing Carolina Golf Club, Myers Park Country Club, Northstone Golf Club, Charlotte Country Club and Pine Lake Golf Club will begin play at 8am at Pine Lake Country Club in Mint Hill, NC (5504 Lebanon Road, Mint Hill, NC). Players will play in twosomes-playing two balls on each Par 4 and Par 5 and one ball on each Par 3. In total, the players will play three and a half rounds of golf for the day.
Leading up to the event, the players have secured pledges from their local club members ranging in size from $0.25 a hole up to $1.00 per hole. Hickory Tavern has donated gift cards for closest to the pin prizes on select Par 3s. The event is projected to raise approximately $5,000 for the local Chapter of The First Tee. Play is expected to conclude at 3pm on Monday.
