Simon, owner and operator of shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use destinations worldwide, announces that Warby Parker will open a new store in SouthPark late this summer. The 1,240 square-foot storefront will open near Center Court next to Fabletics.
Warby Parker strives “to offer designer eyewear at a revolutionary price while leading the way for socially conscious businesses.” By circumventing traditional channels, designing glasses in-house and engaging with customers directly, the brand is able to provide higher-quality, better-looking prescription eyewear starting at $95 – a fraction of the going price.
“After recently introducing a number of brands usually found online, SouthPark is honored to welcome Warby Parker’s second physical location in Charlotte later this year,” said the center’s director of marketing and business development Holly Roberson. “The designer eyewear brand is coveted and well-known – aligning perfectly with our roster. Our shoppers are sure to find their next favorite pair of glasses when visiting the store!”
This news follows the recent announcement of UNTUCKit opening at SouthPark this summer. In addition, the shopping center also recently welcomed Jack Rogers, Trina Turk, Arhaus, Nespresso, Tommy John, Peloton, Casper and Sleep Number, as well as dining options Bulla Gastrobar and Gusto Farm to Street.
About Warby Parker
Warby Parker began when four friends wondered why buying glasses was so expensive and oftentimes tedious. They set out to make the whole thing easy, affordable, and way more fun. “We believe that buying glasses should leave you happy and good-looking, with money in your pocket.” said a company spokesperson. “We also believe that everyone has the right to see, which is why for every pair of glasses and sunglasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need through our Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program. (We’ve distributed over five million pairs of glasses so far.)”
About SouthPark
Located in the heart of the SouthPark area, SouthPark, a Simon mall, is a Charlotte landmark. Originally developed in 1970, it is the largest shopping mall between Atlanta and Washington, D.C. Anchored by Nordstrom, Belk, Dillard’s, Macy’s and Neiman Marcus, SouthPark offers stores ranging from luxury fashion such as Burberry and Louis Vuitton to casual staples such as J.Crew and Tommy Bahama. Seven full-service restaurants, a Dining Pavilion, Symphony Park and a beautiful outdoor amphitheater make the area a popular dining and entertainment destination. Symphony Park at SouthPark is the summer home for the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. In addition, shoppers are offered even more choices at The Village, which comprises 48,000 square feet of specialty retail. This concept of retail, dining and residential represents a unique lifestyle in the area, further enhancing the mall and village as one of the Southeast’s premier destinations. SouthPark’s most recent addition, a nearly 2,000 square foot play area, is located outdoors in West Plaza and is an ideal amenity for families to enjoy in between shopping and dining.
