Warm weather has spread across the Carolinas and spring is in the air, which in Charlotte means its time to kick-start the weekend in style with the Queen City summertime tradition – AT&T Alive After Five.
Celebrating its 11th Anniversary this year, AT&T Alive After Five returns to uptown Charlotte on Thursday, April 5 at 5 p.m. at Wells Fargo Plaza, 301 South Tryon Street. The 2012 season kicks off with a performance on the Bud Light Stage by Charlotte’s No. 1 party band, Hot Sauce. The Charlotte-based band will rock AT&T Alive After Five playing top hits from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today.
Wells Fargo Plaza will host AT&T Alive After Five each Thursday during the month of April. The venue was home to AT&T Alive After Five for its first eight seasons. Beginning May 3, the scene shifts to the Pavilion at EpiCentre, 210 E Trade Street, where AT&T Alive After Five will continue every Thursday through September 13.
Weather won’t dampen Thursday afternoons at Pavilion in 2012 with the When it Rains, We Pour promotion. Pavilion has purchased two huge tents to keep guests sheltered from the elements during summer showers, so when it rains, AT&T Alive After Five will pour with drink specials, including $3 Bud Light Drafts any time there is inclement weather during AT&T Alive After Five.
After the sun sets on AT&T Alive After Five, the party won’t stop at EpiCentre’s hottest locations. Wristbands, which will be distributed at both the Wells Fargo Plaza and the Pavilion, guarantees the attendee free cover for the night. All wristbands will be given to those 21 and up.
When AT&T Alive After Five returns to Pavilion in May, it brings a new dining experience to the popular entertainment destination. Each Thursday during the season, select EpiCentre restaurants will offer their own custom dining deal experiences. Dining deals, during AT&T Alive After Five, create the perfect opportunity to enjoy Charlotte at premier dining locations, from spring until summer. “We are really looking forward to this season,” said Larry Faber of East Coast Entertainment. “Alive After Five could not be celebrating 11 years of success if it wasn’t for the support of the Charlotte community. We are incredibly grateful.” AT&T Alive After Five is how Charlotte kick-starts the weekend in style! As the city’s largest weekly happy hour and free entertainment celebration, AT&T Alive After Five provides a destination for friends and co-workers to gather and unwind, while enjoying great live music, tasty beverages, including a variety of local and specialty wines, all in a fun, casual environment. With its prominent location, close to other great restaurants, bars and shopping, AT&T Alive After Five is the launching pad for Charlotte’s nightlife and entertainment.
