Pappas Properties announced sales of two parcels at Berewick Town Center. Steele Creek Partnership, LLC purchased a 2.4-acre site at the southwest Charlotte multi-use development and will build a 135-room Hampton Inn & Suites while Carolina Restaurant Group acquired a 1-acre site for construction of a Wendy’s fast casual restaurant. The hotel and restaurant join a recently opened Walgreens drug store and a 53,000 square foot Harris Teeter to be completed and opened this fall.
Berewick Town Center is the commercial component of Berewick, a master planned community also developed by Pappas with more than 1,500 homes located off I-485 at the juncture of Shopton Road West and Steele Creek Roads. Pappas is developing the town center in two phases, including more than 22,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a village green, apartments and professional and medical offices.
“The new Hampton Inn & Suites, Wendy’s, Walgreens and Harris Teeter are part of a very exciting story developing at the Berewick Town Center,” says Peter Pappas, CEO and founder of Pappas Properties. “Each of these will be a great amenity enjoyed by residents of Berewick, neighbors and the many people coming to this area.
William Latta represented Steele Creek Limited Partnership in acquiring the hotel site and Bob Vande Weghe of Evergreen Commercial Properties represented Carolina Restaurant Group in the Wendy’s site transaction. Brian Roth of Pappas Properties marketed both properties for the developer.
