Downtown Concord Invites You To Hops And Heat Beer & Chili Festival Nov. 3

The Concord Downtown Development Corporation and the Historic Concord Preservation Trust have teamed up to host the 2nd Annual Hops and Heat Beer & Chili Festival, Saturday, November 3, from 1 – 5 p.m. in Downtown Concord. Hops and Heat will feature local and regional breweries, a “taste off” of local chili cookers, and live musical entertainment.

Entertainment:

North Carolina based Cory Luetjen & The Traveling Blues Band will provide live entertainment with a high energy mix of Blues, Funk, and Beach.

Chili Teams Heat Up:

Fourteen teams will be competing for “best chili” over 4 categories, Red, Non-Red, Vegetarian, and Hot with attendees using voting tickets to pick their favorites.

A limited number of tickets are on sale now to the general public. Beer & Chili Tasting tickets are $30, Chili Only Tasting tickets are $20. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling 704-784-4208. The event will take place in the vehicular lot behind the Historic Cabarrus County Courthouse (next to Means Avenue) in Downtown Concord. Tickets include souvenir tasting glass (if purchasing the beer & chili ticket), voting tickets for the chili cook-off, and live entertainment.

This fundraising event is organized by the Concord Downtown Development Corporation and the Historic Concord Preservation Trust. Hops and Heat is proudly presented by Hilbish Ford with support from Ben Mynatt Family of Dealerships, Cabarrus Magazine, and F&M Bank.
