The popularity of early voting has grown steadily over the years and in the presidential election in 2010 there were more than 65,000 residents who used early voting to cast their ballot. Board of Elections Director Michael Dickerson hopes to have 40% of voters use the early voting option to make tallying the vote on election night quicker and easier.
