The warmer spring weather means more outdoor activities in the Charlotte area. Sarah Crosland, author of 100 Things to Do in Charlotte Before You Die, 2nd Edition, has put together the definitive Charlotte bucket list, and it’s full of fun things to do in the coming months. Below are some suggested spring activities straight from the book itself:

• Dig into food truck fare in South End’s Food Truck Fridays.

• Practice your warrior pose with a view at NC Yoga Bar’s outside-the-box, experienced-based yoga events around Charlotte. You can join in weekly classes at spots like Advent Coworking in Plaza Midwood or the picturesque Freedom Park.

• Visit the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens just west of Charlotte, where you can stroll through 380 acres of thick forests, grassy pastures, and manicured gardens.

• Put on your pastels for the annual Queen’s Cup Steeplechase.

Sarah Crosland has been writing about things to do around Charlotte for more than a decade. She covers the city for magazines, websites, and television shows, and is the author of Food Lovers’ Guide to Charlotte and Secret Charlotte: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure.

The book is available in local bookstores and online (Amazon.com and reedypress.com).
