(Editor’s Note: This article has been corrected from the version published June 22. Primary voting in NC on June 23 is limited to only a few Republican district races.)

State primaries and local races around the nation are especially significant this election year, and the conservative website iVoterGuide is seeking to ensure that voters everywhere are informed before they head to the polls. The June 23 Republican second primary is for the 11th Congressional District) and Columbus County Commissioner District 2

“Regardless of how they cast their votes, Americans want accurate, well-researched information and trusted guidance in order to remove all uncertainty from the most important part of voting—making the right choice,” said iVoterGuide President Debbie Wuthnow. “The greatest threat to our republic is not delayed election results or even fraud, but ill-informed voters. Now more than ever, Americans need readable, honest, comprehensive facts about candidates and issues, such as our trusted voting guidance provides through just a couple of clicks.”

The NC primary information on iVoterGuide is located on this page.

iVoterGuide states on its home page that it is “Grounded in God. Rooted in research.” and claims a number of conservative organizations as partners. It has been sued by The American Policy Roundtable, which runs a website called ivoters.com, claiming trademark infringement. While ivoters.com says that it attempts to be non-partisan, iVoterGuide.com, operated by The Heritage Alliance notes that its mission is “to empower the handful of citizens necessary to restore the principles of limited government, free enterprise, and traditional Judeo-Christian values,” according to the lawsuit.

iVoterGuide says it has researched over 24,000 candidates in more than 11,000 races and offers sample ballots, voting information and its own candidate evaluations.

Charlotte Area News makes no claim as to the accuracy of iVoterGuide’s information, but provides this story as a public service to remind North Carolinians to vote in the June 23 primary.
