A Celebration of Summer at The Duke Mansion August 17

Start the weekend right at The Duke Mansion on Friday, August 17. From 5:30 to 7 pm, The Mansion will host a fun, casual evening featuring cocktails from a cash bar (but we can take credit cards, too) and snacks from Executive Chef Harrison Booth. Enjoy an inexpensive night out in The Mansion’s glorious gardens, or inside The Mansion if the weather is unkind.

Reservations required. Make yours by calling 704/714-4445 or email kellis@tlwf.org. Reserve early for this popular event — The Mansion’s last cocktail evening filled up fast.

The Duke Mansion, at 400 Hermitage Road in the Myers Park area of Charlotte, is a non-profit bed-and-breakfast inn and meeting place. Built in 1915, The Mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1919, it was purchased by James B. “Buck” Duke and tripled to its current size of 32,000 square feet. Many of Duke’s lasting legacies, including Duke Power Company, Duke University and The Duke Endowment, originated at The Duke Mansion. To find out more or book an overnight stay, wedding, or event, see www.dukemansion.org or call 704/714-4400.
