Helpful financial ideas for small and medium-sized business owners in the Charlotte area are available at an April 10 conference on the UNC Charlotte campus, sponsored by Working Charlotte magazine.
Bob James, president and chief executive of Fifth Third Bank in North Carolina, will deliver the breakfast keynote and John Kreighbaum, president of Carolina Premier Bank, will offer remarks at lunch. Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx will open the conference with a welcome.
The Working Charlotte Business Prosperity Conference 2010 will be at the College of Health and Human Services Building at UNC Charlotte and will last from 7:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 10. Informal networking will be available afterward. Natalie Pasquarella of WSOC-TV is emcee for the lunch. The registration fee is $99.
“Our conference keying on small and medium-sized firms is geared to help owners unlock the ‘know-how’ and the ‘how-to’ of doing profitable business in Charlotte,” said Dr. Wesley Carter, publisher of Working Charlotte.
“The conference will focus on cutting costs, increasing efficiencies and driving revenue, the top three priorities for small and medium-sized business owners,” Carter said.
Nearly 20 breakout sessions, led by experts in their disciplines, will address topics such as how to get certified for city and state contracts, how to reduce your carbon footprint, how to avoid the six mistakes that can destroy a business and sales strategies to blow away the competition.
