The Carolina Grace, operated by Luxury Yacht Charters on Lake Norman, is 100 feet long and the newest and largest chartered yacht in the area. It helps charities raise money for their causes. Hawthorne Lane bridge to close for CityLYNX Gold Line Phase 2 Construction

The Hawthorne Lane bridge, in Charlotte’s east side, will close to traffic on Monday, July 24 at 9 a.m. for bridge reconstruction as part of the CityLYNX Gold Line Phase 2 project. The closure, which is expected to last until March 31, 2019, is necessary to accommodate the future streetcar and tracks. Construction will consist of demolition of the existing bridge, erection of new steel beams, concrete work, rail installation, and other miscellaneous work.
