Local Treatment Center Receives Two $100,000 Grants To Treat Addiction

The Dilworth Center is pleased to announce it has received two $100,000 grants from the Mecklenburg County ABC Board. These funds will support the Center’s Adult Treatment and Adolescent Treatment Programs.

The Mecklenburg County ABC Board awards annual grants through a highly competitive application and review process. “We are pleased to support the Dilworth Center’s ongoing efforts to address and treat the disease of addiction,” remarked Julia Paul, Community Outreach Director for the Mecklenburg County ABC Board. “The Dilworth Center’s strong visionary leadership, expertise in delivering responsive strategies that address local community needs, and results track record, make them a natural fit for the ABC Board’s Community Health & Wellness grant partnership.”

“We are thrilled to partner with the ABC Board to provide critical treatment services for the citizens of Mecklenburg County and surrounding North and South Carolina regions,” stated Charles Odell, CEO of the Dilworth Center. Tim Ignasher, President of New Dominion Bank and Dilworth Center Board Chair remarked, “Our board members are exceedingly proud of the Dilworth Center staff and leadership team. These grants will help combat the disease of addiction which continues to be an omnipresent crisis in North Carolina.”
