Statewide Beer Competition Identifies Finest Examples of North Carolina Craft Beer

The recent 2018 NC Brewers Cup featured the stiffest competition yet in the event’s seven year history, with 76 North Carolina breweries competing for medals over two days of judging. Certified beer judges from across the Southeast traveled to the competition to select the finest examples of each beer style from the 624 entries submitted by professional brewers across the state. The City of Charlotte’s Landscape Management Division is taking an inventory of Charlotte’s street trees to help determine their condition and needs. The inventory is being performed to support the City’s Urban Forest Master Plan and its goal for Charlotte to attain 50 percent tree canopy by the year 2050.
