Turkeys needed to feed the community on Thanksgiving Day

Each Thanksgiving Day, the Charlotte Rescue Mission opens its doors to all those seeking food, comfort and hope. The tradition continues as we hope to collect over 100 turkeys during our annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive. “Our goal is that all those who come to the Mission on Thanksgiving Day receive a hot meal and the hope of a new tomorrow from the troubles they are facing today,” says Rev. Tony Marciano, Executive Director of the Charlotte Rescue Mission. “We served nearly 1,200 meals last year and we hope to feed even more this Thanksgiving. But we can’t do it alone.

Community Blood Center Kicks off 2012 Holiday Season with Puppies for Patients

The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas (CBCC) is recruiting blood donors to take part in the Eighth Annual ‘Puppies for Patients’ program that runs Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 2012.
