Arrest made in Sexual Assault Cold Case

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Sexual Assault Cold Case Unit have arrested Roger Dale Honeycutt, DOB: 02/23/1950 for a rape which he committed in 1981. On February 21, 1981 Honeycutt entered the female victim’s home in the 2500 block of Eastway Drive through the front or sliding glass door in the living room. Early Voting Available October 14-30; 40 Percent Expected To Vote Early

Mecklenburg County Board of Elections Director Michael Dickerson estimates that 40 percent of voters casting a ballot this fall will do so by voting early. Early voting starts Thursday at the Hal Marshall Annex and on Monday at 15 other locations throughout the county before ending on Saturday, Oct. 30.
